I got a Canon R50 camera - and my new YouTube channel!

Hi guys, big news! I recently got a Canon R50 mirrorless digital camera! I decided to go with the ‘Creator Kit’, which comes with the camera, a 32GB SDCard, handle/remote control selfie stick, neck strap, battery, charger, 18-45mm lens and a shotgun microphone. The R50 can record 4K video at 30fps or 1080p at 60 or 30 fps. It also has a 120fps slow motion mode

I also bought a tripod, dummy battery & PSU, a 256GB SDCard and a Rode Wireless GO II microphone transmitter and receiver with a wired lavalier mic.

I was very happy with the camera, but as it’s a cropped sensor camera, the photos did seem too ‘zoomed-in’ for my liking, so I got myself a 10-18mm RF-S lens which is a huge improvement. If you’re thinking of getting the Canon R50, I highly recommend getting the 10-18mm lens.

I got this camera not just to take photos, but also for video. The R50 can record 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps, it also has a 120fps mode to capture slow motion but with no sound.

Chris Elison Electronics

I’ve got myself all this kit as I want to get back into doing electronics and I want to take photos and record video for social media and YouTube. My new YouTube channel is called Chris Elison Electronics and I’m hoping to do all kinds of electronic projects and experiments including Arduino, ESP8266, high voltage, lasers, radiation and a lot more. I’d really appreciate it if you could give me a sub, there are no videos on the channel yet, but I appreciate any subs I can get so I can unlock community posts :-)

I also got myself a Fluke 87V true RMS digital multimeter! This was on my wishlist ever since starting electronics back in 2017/18. The meter measures up to 1000V AC/DC, 10A current, 10mF capacitance, 50MΩ resistance and frequency up to 200KHz. I have recorded a first impressions and unboxing video which will go live on the channel soon.
